Matt has developed a robust practice of representing equity funds, developers, corporations, retailers, land owners, tenants, landlords, and both buyers and sellers of all types and sizes in all facets of real estate and business transactions. Matt has vast experience in the acquisition, financing, and disposition of commercial property of all types, with a particular emphasis on the purchase, financing, and sale of multifamily apartment projects, commercial office, retail, and industrial properties, as well as the leasing of retail, office, and commercial space of all kinds.
Matt regularly represents clients in the negotiation and documentation of real estate purchase and sale transactions, negotiations, due diligence, entity (LLC) formation, equity structuring, loan assumptions, legal opinions, loan transactions, builder/construction agreements, leases, and the full spectrum of other real estate and corporate law related matters.
In addition, Matt is regularly involved in providing general business legal counsel and transactional assistance/guidance in negotiating and preparing numerous other general business contracts to clients of all sizes. Matt’s experience has enabled him to become local counsel to numerous out-of-state entities transacting business in Utah as well as strategic business counsel and trusted advisor to many of his local clients, and routinely fills various corporate legal counsel needs to those parties as well.
